Everything that exists leaves a trace, and I strive to express it. Light inscribes colors and forms into memory, and before those traces fade away, I capture them with a brush, infusing them with emotion and story. Though moments may seem to vanish, the imprints they leave never fully disappear. By recalling those fragments and giving them new life on the canvas, I hope that viewers will pause before my work and encounter the stories I wish to share.

Guided by intuition and imagination, light is transformed into new forms at my fingertips as I blend colors and textures. This process goes beyond representation; it becomes an act of weaving memory and perception together, a pathway through which viewers may enter into my inner time. For me, art is a journey between memory and possibility. Through landscapes, still lifes, and abstractions, I have explored longing, turbulence, and the unseen dimensions of existence.
Recently, I have been delving deeper into the diversity of light. By experimenting with special pigments that respond to ultraviolet (UV) rays, I have sought to move beyond the spectrum visible to the human eye. Inspired by other beings—such as birds and insects—that naturally perceive ultraviolet light, I have created works that reveal hidden colors and forms under UV illumination. These works invite viewers to step into a realm beyond human perception, opening the door to a new dimension of sensory experience.

This exploration is not only about revealing the invisible. It extends to a meditation on the infinite possibilities of light and on its role as the very foundation of existence. Through my art, I strive to build narratives where light, memory, and emotion converge, and where viewers may discover moments of introspection and renewal. Ultimately, I hope my work awakens something deeply buried within, resonating as both a personal and universal truth.

I majored in Industrial Design and am certified as a design practical teacher, art psychotherapist, and reading tutor. I have taught at a children’s art institute, managed it, and also worked as an after-school art teacher in a small countryside elementary school. Guided by my deep passion for art, I studied under Jinwoo Kim, and under his mentorship I have been developing my practice for more than ten years. It has been about nine years since I first began sharing my work with the world.

My artistic journey began during the most painful period of my life. When my twin daughters were born, my eldest tragically passed away just ten months later. In that moment of devastation, I turned to art as a way to heal, recover, and regenerate my soul. Since then, creating art has been my inner therapy, a process that allows me to compress every experience-pain and joy, despair and hope-into each piece I make.
Through this journey, I realized that the foundation of art is light. I believe that light is the very essence of our existence in this world. Just as quantum mechanics suggests that observation defines reality, I see both the creation and appreciation of art as acts of perceiving light. For me, we are all products of light.
At some point, I became determined to preserve the emotions I experience in their pure form, without alteration. To honor that, I began documenting the feelings and thoughts connected to each work in short writings, ensuring they remain authentic even in the future.

I create art based on personal inspiration. While my process constantly evolves, I refuse to confine myself to a single genre. Instead, I embrace freedom and experimentation, allowing each work to carry its own truth, shaped by light, memory, and emotion.
