When Spring Comes - Jennifer Lee | Light, Memory, and Emotion

[When Spring Comes]
Artist’s Note
A nostalgic look, a nostalgic scent
The scent of spring lurked in the bitter winter winds that blew from the western continent.
Even in the frozen earth, roots grow.
Now, in the darkness of the moonless night, they will awaken to the news that spring has arrived,
In the early morning, their pink, delicate petals will whisper in silence and color the world.
A world trapped in a web of lies, the truth obscured and buried.
A wild and fierce wind will shake your branches, but you will bloom unbroken.
And now your fragrance will sing of freedom.
When spring comes, I want to stand under the double cherry blossoms and dream of new days.
For the warm spring breeze from the eastern sea will light our way.
