Artist’s Note

The silent night grows deeper.
I no longer know where I have arrived,
nor where I am drifting toward.
Only meaningless questions
quietly linger around me.

When I sink into a deep sleep,
struggling within the distant darkness,
you begin to bloom.

Like a flame that can blossom
only by burning itself away,
you bloomed like that
even within the silence
of profound despair.
