Works-Botanical & Still Life

These works celebrate the quiet beauty often overlooked in everyday life.
Flowers and plants take center stage as both subject and backdrop, drawing the viewer into their still yet radiant presence. In a world that moves quickly, I wish to pause that motion and invite you to rediscover the wonder of color, form, and light hidden within the ordinary.

By focusing on familiar elements found in nature and gardens, I explore the resilience and renewal embodied in each petal and plant. The canvas becomes a space where vibrant hues and subtle textures awaken a sense of tranquility and remembrance. With careful attention to light, shadow, and the passage of time, I seek to express not only admiration for nature’s details but also the emotions and memories they evoke.

Recently, I have expanded this exploration by using fluorescent pigments that respond to ultraviolet (UV) light. When illuminated, hidden layers emerge, revealing another spectrum of reality unseen under normal lighting. This dual experience invites viewers to move between the visible and the invisible, reflecting on how beauty exists in multiple dimensions.

Ultimately, Flowers and Plants is an invitation to pause, breathe, and reconnect with the essence of life itself, the fragile yet enduring rhythm that flows through every living form and every trace of light.
